My wife helps me. It was a two person job to lift the gate. After installing the eLegator, she can lift it by herself. "No! No! Let me," she exclaims. So . . . I smile to myself and go trim. Lifting the gate is the most physical thing you do -- it takes a lot of physical strength. The eLegator helps so much! I have to "haul away" and with the eLegator, nothing gets caught in the extension spring. And it is really easy to put on. Now all my wife or I have to do is put our foot under the gate and lift it. Even my 70 year old dad was excited when he can lift it with his foot.

I fabricated a dovetail to fit my box truck and extended the tailgate to 68". I spoke with the Engineering Department at eLegator and I emailed photos so that they could look at my problem. I'm not much on long, drug out conversations about a product..... but my 8 yr old nephew can now open and close the ramp on our box truck, which makes him feel like he is one of the crew...... I bought the eLegator for my son who runs a landscape business. The gate on his trailer is ultra heavy, so much so that you have to double pump to raise it. However, with the eLegator in place he can raise it with the toe of his boot. Absolutely great product!"

I own a landscaping business and have just recently pulled a muscle in my back. Lifting my trailer gate was a serious problem for me. This product looked fairly easy to install and I purchased it with the "I'll give it a try" attitude.

After receiving it and checking the installation instructions, there were a few questions that I had. I contacted Elegator Customer support, they gave me custom installation instructions over the phone.

This was a very easy install and it is almost unbelievable how easy it is to lower and lift this trailer gate. Not only the product is excellent, the customer support is simply the best. They are friendly, knowledgeable and return phone calls promptly.I only wish I would have purchased this many years ago.

This is one of the greatest products that I’ve purchased in years that truly works as described. I’m elated at how effortless it is to pick up or put down the steel gate. The steel gate on our rather large steel utility trailer had been such an effort to pick up and I dreaded it. I purchased the Twin Pack kit hoping to save my back and always took a double pump or two guys to lift it back up. When setting the gate down it was just plain heavy and nine times out of ten, we would let it slam. Now, all it takes is my toe to lift it up into place. After pulling the L-pins to set it down, the gate will set itself down with no slamming, just effortless! Thank you very much for such a great product.

I can’t say enough about the eLegator. I absolutely love it! It’s very easy to install. Really saved my back. With two eLegators on my trailer gate, all I have to do is pull the pins and the gate just loads down by itself. Lifting it up is a breeze as I just lift the gate a bit with my foot at the edge of the gate and it pops up on its own. I think it works Great!!

As a Woman, before eLegator was installed, I couldn't even lift our gate off the ground!My coworker could, but he's a guy and still he struggled to lift it.
Now that eLegator's installed, it's like a dream. What I love about it, I can take this out on my own without an additional person to help me. I like that it doesn't drop and crack the pavement.
